How long to charge neato xv 11
The real question is how it behaves when connected to something that draws more than its rated 1. Does this also have an over-current protection mechanism? The answer is yes. Again its open circuit voltage is 24V as advertised, but once wired to a Neato, the voltage collapses to around After collapse, it quickly builds up to about 15, then the voltage collapses again.
The Neato is very optimistic, showing itself to be charging, but there is negligible actual progress in charging the battery. But now that I know the current capacity is the limiting concern, maybe another power supply with higher amperage limits will work even if its maximum voltage is lower than 24 Volts. So I pulled out an old salvaged Dell power supply that only claims to deliver But once power started flowing, output voltage collapsed to 7.
Out of three DC power adapters that should have worked on paper, zero actually worked for charging my Neato vacuum because the Neato drew far more than their rated amperage. So for the immediate future, my Neato charging will be done with my bench power supply. To make this easier, I made an easy if not particularly pretty modification to my Neato vacuum. Two holes were drilled on each side of a charging contact. Could the volt rail of an ATX power supply plus a boost converter like this be a solution?
Like Like. If so, connecting something that would happily deliver far more power like that W converter might release the magic smoke. You are commenting using your WordPress. I took the batteries to a battery world shop and they tested them.
I tried un plugging the batteries for 10 minutes then put them back in, and set the clock… but they same thing…. Hi Dennis, for how long do you have your current batteries in your robot?
Have you replaced them since the purchase? Usually, the Neato batteries can last up between 1 to 2 years depending of the cleaning cycles duration and frequency. Please keep in the mind, the accessories such as brushes or batteries are not covered by the 5-year warranty.
Please let us know how it goes. The batteries are less than a year old.
