Originally I viewed Archer as being set in the same universe as The West Wing, but predicated on a Class Two arguably Class One interpretation of The West Wing as existing in an America where Nixon was impeached rather than allowed to resign, and was not pardoned down the road.

Archer season 12 , however, may have quietly provided the answer. Archer season 12, episode 3, "London Time" saw The Agency embark on a seemingly straightforward mission to 10 Downing Street.
